Happy Aerosports

Owner of Happy Games, accomplished fighter pilot and Canadian Forces Snowbird, Mark “Happy” LaVerdiere will soon be taking his flying career to the world stage and he’s going for gold. Happy’s mission is to compete in the World Aerobatic Championships, perform in Air Shows across North America, and compete on the Red Bull Air Race circuit.

Over the next 20 years Happy also aims to bring his precision flying and pride for aviation to millions of spectators across North America and the World.

Air shows are highly popular and well attended outdoor spectator events every summer season. They are popular with the whole family and are a proud part of our Canadian heritage.

A natural leader and already a Canadian icon, Happy will take his high energy flying to both a community level and to the world stage. Happy is currently seeking a partnership that will allow him to train on and compete with the MX2 aircraft while providing unequalled local, national and international exposure. He is currently looking to dedicate himself to one sponsor for the upcoming air show seasons.

As an ex CF-18 fighter pilot, Happy has prolific experience in the kind of motivation and energy he knows it takes to be the best in the world. Happy Aerosports would make a great addition to any team.

Happy’s full time commitment to the Snowbirds ends in July 2011, and he will retire from the CF shortly after with 20 years of service. His first air show season as an independent performer will be from April to November 2012. During this time Happy will perform in multiple air shows across North America, and will also compete in aerobatic competitions in order to qualify for the World Aerobatic Championships later that year. Happy intends to continue being a recognizable face in the air show circuit for the next twenty years.
